At Mountain View Drone Services, our mission is to provide high-quality, reliable aerial data solutions that help businesses make smarter, safer, and more informed decisions. I’m Dan Slavin, founder of Mountain View Drone Services. I’m a Professional Geologist, FAA Part 107 certified drone pilot, and longtime Vermont resident. I live in Rochester with my wife and our two dogs. I’ve always been drawn to the outdoors, photography, and technology — and this business brings all of those passions together to support the industries I know best.

I bring over a decade of experience working in environmental remediation, where I’ve spent years collecting and analyzing complex data, using tools like ArcGIS to transform raw information into maps, insights, and actionable plans. That same data-focused mindset is what drives my drone work today.

I work with clients across Vermont, eastern New York, and western New Hampshire to provide tailored services like aerial mapping, 3D modeling, infrastructure inspections, and solar field surveys. Whether you're managing a construction site, tracking project progress, or monitoring difficult terrain, I offer accurate, repeatable solutions that help you move forward with confidence.

When I’m not flying drones for work, I’m often out flying them for fun — capturing action shots on the mountain, testing new maneuvers, or chasing the perfect backcountry view. That same energy and precision carries into every project I take on.
